such, such were the joys.

Set-up.

I had my first A levels today. The big scary ones. The ones I'm not ready for. Not in the slightest.

It was Mechanics 1 and Further Pure 2 this morning; at the same time. For some reason, Edexcel don't see the problem with putting a maths and further maths exam at the same time - even though the only people who sit further maths usually do maths too. I haven't done nearly enough revision (as usual). Roland Garros started last week, so that's my excuse - so gutted that Federer and Nishikori got knocked out, so I'm just going to have to root for Djokovic now I suppose.

I only went in to school for my exams this morning so it was nice to be able to leave straight away. Since I had one after the other, it meant that I could get away without bumping into any of my friends (I was the only person doing FP2 because the other person in my class gets extra time, so he gets put in another room). So, after sitting in the sports hall for an hour and half by myself - during which time the motion-sensor-lights turned out because no one had moved in quite a while - it was nice to get everything done with.

As with everything nowadays, of course there was an unofficial mark scheme for the paper waiting on Student Room for me when I got home. And the silly person that I am, I decided to look at it. Sigh. I think I got sixty four out of a possible 75. Which is still pretty good. But if I'm honest, I'm a bit disappointed. I was going for the 100%. There was one type of question that I didn't revise at all. And of course it was the one that came up. So I lost marks there. It's annoying. I haven't dared to search for the FP2 mark scheme - that would be a very bad idea.

Anyway, this is just a shot of my music revision. I thought it'd be a good idea to get cracking whilst the Nadal vs Djokovic match was happening (can't believe Nadal got so badly crushed considering it's Roland Harris, but I suppose he has slipped down the rankings a fair bit. Every further now I think as a result).

Two down. Seven to go.
