Toll House, Junction Cottage

I had to wait in the this morning as I had an appointment to have my Dyson cleaner serviced at 9 am, much to my annoyance, as I was itching to get outside as the sun was shining.   At 10 am two young lads appeared and took about an hour to do the job (although I was told it would take just 20 minutes), by the time they left I just had time to pick J up from nursery.  I took J home and gave him some lunch before taking him and Sebastian for a walk along the Mon and Brecon Canal at the Pontymoile Basin.

The Basin itself is a large expanse of water adjacent to the canal used for turning narrowboats and filling up with water and situated close by is a toll house called "Junction Cottage" dating back to 1814, as can be seen in today's blip. There is also a delightful cafe there, which was once a boat, which serves light refreshments

I'm off to Camera Club tonight where members' digital entries will be judged and I'll be giving in my 3 prints for judging next week, for the competition entitled "Seasons".
