Dead Ringers

Moving a few boxes off stuff again today and got lured in to one which contained boxes of old jewellery. These are just a selection of earrings from sometime in the early 90's. I can see some brought home from Australia, Peru, Indonesia ...
I did actually wear these. Now I'm usually sporting just a couple of little bits of gold. What happened?
