Panic!!

For their early morning walk, I usually take the dogs to a wood which is only about five minutes away on foot.
And so it was today at 6.15 a.m.
When I get to the wood, I let them off their leads and they can sniff around etc
I keep a close eye on them and when I call them and/ or blow my whistle, they come back.
But not this morning!
In a split second, they disappeared. After about five or ten minutes ( it's funny how you lose track of time when panicking), Lucy reappeared.
But no Joe!!!!
After searching around for a few more minutes, I decided I would have to take Lucy home and get some help.
But, when I got back, there was Joe, sitting at the car outside our house.
Phew!!!!
