Manly Water Tower

After looking at occasional blipper Pics from Zone Flâneur's Flickr pics yesterday I felt inspired to do a bit of black and white today. Paul (Flâneur himself) has been influencing my photography and my desire to take photos since I was about 7 years old.

I went for extreme contrast and grain today to suit the subject. It isn't actually black and white. I added a hint of gold in duotone before converting to RGB just to give it some more sparkle in the highlights.

As has been my recent trend I shot this with my little Canon compact rather than hauling out the SLR.
