If it's Wednesday ...

... it must be Lo Tira-tap! Here's S sipping a refreshing Spanish verdejo. None of this photo is in focus I'm afraid, but it's all I've got today. It's not straight out of the camera -- I fiddled with it quite a bit trying to improve it.

Score at the market: cherries from Céret at 4.50 a kilo. They weren't the cheapest on offer, but they passed the essential taste test, and after a peaceful pitting session, 2 kg of them are gently simmering to make compote. I also bought my first apricots of the season, so an apricot clafoutis is on the cards. Or maybe a tart. I love early summer fruits like these; their season is so short that you really appreciate them.
