Yucca Imposter!!!

"Firstly, Red Yucca is not a real Yucca! And secondly, the flowers are not really red either. So, now that the misleading common name is fully exposed, perhaps there should be a move to more correctly call this plant the “Rose-Coral Yucca Imposter”. Red Yucca, (Hesperaloe parvifolia) is a succulent in the Agave family."

I always wonder about how things are named.
Who looked at an egg and first said "egg?"
And why egg?
Why is a young cat called a kitten and not a puppy? Or maybe a catty?
Why does your nose run and your feet smell?
Ok, I digress on that last one...

I admit that I had 4 years of Latin and actually loved it.
I have researched the etymology of specific phrases/words.
But it all comes back to why that thing was called that word.
How were those early caveman grunts changed to words?
And who got to pick which grunt meant what?
Hmmm.

One last wonder today...
If you asked a librarian where the books on self help were, would they tell you or would that defeat the purpose? :)

Long day.
Longer one scheduled for tomorrow...
