Worsborough Mill Pool

My sister took mum out for lunch, so a sandwich lunch at home for us followed by a trip to Hoyland to buy a new battery for Ann's car.  She took over my old car which is a 54 reg - so we reckon 11 years and it has the original battery.  Anyway things went wrong on Sunday and it wouldn't start when she came out of the supermarket.  The RAC man who came to rescue her was absolutely amazed that it had lasted so long!

We stopped here on the way home as we still had an hour left before we needed to be back.  The mill pond was amazingly calm given the weather but up on the reservoir the wind was whipping up the waves like the sea and the bars on the dam bridge were rattling like they'd fly off at any time soon.  Inevitably we needed to seek shelter in the cafe where we tried out the Pecan and Banana cake - delicious.
