Edinburgh Ponding

You would think that when putting in new infrastructure to benefit pedestrians and cyclists you might design and implement it to avoid the ponding of water after rain right in the middle of where cyclists and pedestrians will be using the new infrastructure. But then there have been a remarkable number of mistakes made in putting this very short piece of new infrastructure in place we really shouldn't be surprised...

Good and bad to the day. Got to go north on Friday to do a file handover before going on holiday, which was kind of expected, but means another delay to some STV filming. Mel was off, so lunchtime was really nice, getting a walk down to Porty in. Got soaked riding to taiko, but clearly the work recently is working to an extent and I almost found the ride 'easy'. Then at taiko, just as I thought I was going to be pulled up on a technical matter, I actually got given a rather nice compliment. Which put me in fine spirits for the ride home.
