Still going strong!

Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. Went into the field again today, and the ants and aphids are still going strong! If I compare my findings to those of the previous two years, I would say they are about three weeks behind on last year’s schedule. Good for me, because I am here to collect live samples this year. Still, I wonder when I will get here in the forest and find stones empty (they presumably move to plant roots when it gets warmer) – can be any day now!
