As we tidied away the contents of the old car I came across the tax disc. We'd developed the habit of placing the new one in front of the old.

With online registration now these will soon be a thing of the past. Progress in one way but we'll no longer have the delight of carefully tearing at the perforations and feeding the disc into the holder. One of life's little pleasures? Or frustrations? What the next generation will miss.
