A Day of Two Halves

For most of the day it has been howling, gale force winds and torrential rain. At 9.45pm the weather broke and we saw this spectacular sunset.

We met friends John and Lesley for lunch at Marram Grass Cafe just as we had done 11 months and 3 weeks to the day. Unlike last year the afternoon walk had to be postponed as the weather was so bad.

So bad in fact that after a leisurely lunch we headed to Fat Face in Beaumaris because (a) it was undercover and (b) Jasper could go in. Plus RobT gets a student discount.

We are optimistic that the sunset and the fact that this is the first time we have seen the sun all day will bring a better day tomorrow.
