The Papal Basilica

St Peter's church at  the Vatican can be seen for miles. We started the day with a 10am guided tour of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and the Basilica. 

We weren't allowed to take photos of in the Sistine but I sneaked one of the Last Judgment - I love it so have snuck it in as my extra photo today. More than anything I love the interior of St Peter's church with the Dome finalised by Michelangelo - truly spectacular. 

We finished off the day at Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere for some great food and drinks. 

What a way to spend my 30th.
