The Three Sisters from Kings Lynn

At 6 30 am the scallops lying many fathoms
deep under the North Sea and a heavy quilt
of sand can rest easy in their beds some
six miles and more from the shore as the
Kings Lynn sisters are roped to the quay
at Scarborough Harbour. The scallops are
in such demand that they are too expensive
to find their way onto a plate at the seafront
crabstalls just a few yards from where they
are landed !
