Cycling by the Kiel canal.

Today we hired bikes and cycled towards the Kiel canal. As we arrived we went to a viewing point as a very large load was being towed from the first lock, quite a sight. In order to get to the cycle path on the other side we had to get on a small ferry, together with other cyclists - and it was free! Todays Blip shows a view from the cycle path and one of the huge ships passing by. Despite the size of the canal, it is still amazing to see such huge container ships travelling so close. All in all it was a very good day, we certainly feel like we have cycled a long way now though!
