Stormy Monday
So, this is, meteorologically speaking, the first day of summer. An arbitrary choice, they explained, just for statistically simplicity. And on this day, gales howled and rain lashed.
Bits of soft, newly sprung leaves were torn from their branches and splattered on our windows. If it carries on like this, we will have wonderful leaf patterns on our windows and leafless trees.
I hear the swallows are having a convention to decide whether to migrate south early.
It will get better.
