Miserable mono Monday night....

A day of 2 halves. Started off dry,so went over to tag some calves with wee brother then move them to another field. There was one cow, Freeze Brand 527, which we know to watch out for as she is a nasty piece of work. She would go through you rather than round you,but we know what to expect by now !
Had the police in to see me about my gun license. He asked if there was any history of mental illness,to which I told him not if you don't count being a farmer !
Loaded up a trailer of barley to take next door,but just as I finished, the storm that was forecast arrived. It is now more like a November night than 1st June . All the cattle we put out are standing with their backs up,not happy at all . This lot were hiding at the back of the wood when I checked. Mrs Farmerboab not happy either,as there is now a bucket catching the water dripping in above the kitchen window. The wind must be coming from the South,as it always leaks from that direction
