Villa Borghese is so big that it can't be covered in one day so we went back to go to the zoo. We were expecting a wee petting zoo but it was actually a full size zoo with big barmy animals crammed into too-wee enclosures with inadequate stimulation and not enough shelter from the baking sun. Some a bit better than others, like they've been trying to improve it which made the extortionate entry fee a little more palatable.
