Cake treat

Marianne always takes the last two weeks of May off as holiday

No one minds fielding her telephone calls

because the first week in June she brings in at least six large homemade cakes as a belated birthday celebration

this is a slice of her chocolate confection being guarded by one of my desk mice

only not one on this blip (which means they must have bred without me noticing)
