Dianthus
We decided to tackle both house and garden today, having a good clear out.
The local farmer arrived to move his herd from the field by the river across the lane into fields that were recently cut for silage. The cattle make good strimmers, eating all the greenery around the edges of the fields that the grass cutter can't reach.
He stopped for a chat and caught up on some local news.
Tucked away in a pot left from last year is a Dianthus, the only one that survived the winter. Had a stab at a botanical style image.
