Last day in prague
Having done so much already decided today we would stroll round the city and take in the sites we had not yet seen. I really wanted to visit the old Jewish cemetery but should have realised it would be closed on a Saturday. Mum wanted a shot of the dancing building so we walked around the periphery of the Vltava to take in our last views of Prague castle. Our feet were really starting to feel the strain so once we arrived in Wenceslas square a stop was in order for lunch. We spent the last few hours of the afternoon buying presents for the kids and my brother and trying to spend our Czech crown.
Thought we'd arrive nice and early for the flight back, shame we didn't account for the passenger taken ill on the flight out to Prague which resulted in our plane detouring back to get the person safely to a doctor. The delays did mean we got to watch Czech security deal with a bag left unattended at the airport right next to where we were sitting. Lots of red tape was rolled out head scratching and looking. Finally the experts turned up who gingerly proceeded to empty the contents of the bag onto the chairs. If it had been a bomb we'd have all been done for.
Finally got home at 1.30 am Sunday morning, bearing in mind a change in terminal was again called for
Lovely trip and a pleasure to get to spend quality time with my mum
