Bogged down

The effing toilet has broken again today.

It's been playing up all week but Mr A has finally thrown in the towel trying to fix it (before he puts a lump hammer through it!).

So it looks like my day off tomorrow will be spend at B&Q trying to resolve the problem.

The trouble with that is we don't know how it can be resolved. The flush mechanism (the blue block in the photo) catches on the side of the cistern and there's no way to stop it (believe me, we've tried). If they give us a replacement, it will have the same problem, unless they've modified things since we bought it (which we very much doubt).

Worst case scenario is that we will have to install a whole new (other) toilet, which will mean another round of decorating as the tile won't fit a different toilet, so it will have to be chiselled off and re plastered.

After feeling kak all week, I can really do without this. [
