Vilnius (Day 3)

Took the train to Kaunus today (and back). 65 minutes each way. 

Lietuvos geležinkeliai has invested a fortune since I was last here. Modern, fast, comfortable trains. Stations modernised and sparkling. Staff too.

I took 59 photos without really trying, so choosing one to Blip has been tricky. I decided to skip the touristy shots but put in a couple as “extras”.

The Blip really sums up the day. Warm sunshine. Lovely breeze. Lots of locals just chilling over Sunday afternoon.

One of the extras is the view from my lunch table, over Rotušės aikštė. I had venison for starter and then a boar shashlik. Yes, indeed.  The other extra is Laisvės Alėja - the main boulevard in the new part of the city centre.
