A day at the seaside

You can't beat an old fashioned day at the seaside on a sunny Saturday to warm the spirit. A trip to Brighton with mum and dad had all the ingredients of a typically British seaside day out with a visit to a tea room, a long stroll along the promenade (roller skate in my case), a spot of shopping in the Lanes and a delicious fish dinner eating al fresco.

A cup of tea back at my brother's on the way home with a quick look at his new Mac Book Air (I want one) and a quick diary check to plan when we'll next see each other. My brother's shift work, his ultra races and run training, my air show commentary calendar and PR work make it rather challenging to find a free date sometimes!

I met two of my best pals in a local pub on my way home for a quick drink and catch up before a very last minute decision to go to the cinema with another friend late evening. A late night getting back home meant I've been delinquent with my blipping and posting this a day late!

A lovely couple of days that felt like a mini holiday with the people I care about the most was much needed after a hectic couple of work weeks. I only wish our diaries allowed us to meet more often.
