We are not amused....

This is Geraldine the resident cat at Trentham Gardens. She's usually quite amenable to some attention, but this wasn't the day. Her patch is around the formal Italian Gardens and she like nothing better than stretching out on the gravel paths when it's warm.

The rest of our day was spent preparing the garden for the builders next week. we're having a pation extended and relaid and the drive ripped up and replaced by tarmac. We currently have block paving which has been hard work to keep looking good.

So we've been moving my multitude of pots out of the garden onto the drive so they can start ripping up the flags and one of my flower beds to create more sitting out and eating space. More fence painting, as I'd rather get paint all over the flags that we're replacing, than after it has been done.

We also cleared out the garage to make way for future garden furniture. It really did need a good sort out anyway. I'm not looking forward to the mess and disruption over the next couple of weeks, but am looking forward to the results!!
