Three Sisters, Blue Mountains, Sydney

We had an early start this morning, having to be at the Airport at 4.30am to fly to Sydney at 6.am.

The flight arrived in Sydney at 7.30am. We arrived at our accommodation at Darling Harbour, dropped off our bags, then took the train up to the Blue Mountains. It was unfortunate however, that they were doing track maintenance from the city to Penrith, so we had to be bused to the Penrith station, where we caught the train to the Blue Mountains. This added a bit of extra travelling time.

We were met at the train station by Walking Wombat, who very kindly took us on a whistle stop tour of the Blue Mountains. What an amazing place! The beauty of the landscape is awesome! Walking Wombat took us to all the places that Tourists don't know about, and we could see these places in peace, without the hundreds of tourists being there also.

We finished the tour by going to 'Wombat Hollow' - a beautiful scancuary in the Blue Mountains. It was lovely to have afternoon tea, and to meet CNN.

Thank you Walking Wombat and CNN - we had an amazing afternoon, and loved your part of the world. We will be back again when we have much more time to do some more indepth exploring!
