The Unwatched Kettle

Apparently, a watched kettle never boils ... so having filled up the kettle with water, plugged it into the socket and switched it on to boil water for my early morning coffee, I nipped up the road to see if the early morning sun was "blip-worthy" ...
As it turned out, however, the sun was quite high and bright, but due to the light cloud cover, I was still able to take a couple of reasonable pictures ... :o)

(As for heating up the water, however, it would appear that "the watched kettle" is the only one that ever boils ... If you don't watch the kettle, then somebody else comes along and un-plugs it to plug in the toaster instead.) ... :o/
