Canoeing on the Wye

Heading off to the Hay Literary Festival, I little imagined that the first thing we would do (apart from the obvious tea and cake) would be to hire canoes and paddle into Hay from Glasbury.
A beautiful sunny day, the light golden on the water, silence apart from the splash of the paddles, the birdsong and sporadic hysterical laughter from our boats when manoeuvring from getting stuck or turning in circles.
