Up "The Slade" road

Kendall and I needed a good sit after hauling our luggage up the steep lane in Fishguard to catch the early bus, and then transfer to the Arriva train, which took us though through the heart of Wales. Maria met us in Shrewsbury, and we drove through north Wales, and up a narrow lane to her farm house near Llangollen where we are staying a few days. This countryside so different from home, although the vegetation is much the same; foxglove, lilac, cow parsley, vetch, dock, fern. We have been so welcomed everywhere we have visited!
