Fly on rose

This afternoon we did some work in a community meadow in the village. I spent the afternoon removing nettles from the rose patch.  My arms are rather annoyed about the experience...! Today's pictures, are mostly rose flowers from the patch plus a red clover. I think the particular flower is a Burnett rose (Rosa pimpinellifolia), I'm not sure what the fly is.

After the meadow we walked to the Community Orchard to do some more work. On the way we found a honey bee swarm in the middle of the road...! Not quite sure what they are doing there, but it can't be normal and isn't a good sign for sure.

Now it's time for pizza, happy evening fellow blippers...
