Butterfly on yellow flowers

We walked above Maloja on a delightful path, which we had all to ourselves and up high to a frozen lake. This tortoiseshell butterfly danced across the potentilla flowers as we set off in the sunshine. Higher up we saw a chamois, marmots and ptarmigan as we trudged through the soggy snow fields.
