Charm among the palms

Couldn't resist this vintage Beetle, seen on our way back from the gym (HH and I have decided it's time to shape up a bit - he has been very lax about his post-op exercises,and he's hoping to play golf tomorrow, first time in months).

In the afternoon, we took a detour to the north zone of Rio to show HH's latest X-ray to the surgeon and find out if it's OK for him to play. The surgeon was tickled pink with the results and recorded a video for a Venezuelan colleague of HH walking up and down the surgery, saying "2 1/2 months after my surgery and I'm going to play in a golf competition". 

We then sat in traffic for a l-o-o-o-n-g time, finally reaching the house and the dogs after 8.30 pm, but it was worth it to know the HH's recovery is still on track. Maybe neither of us will make it round 18 tomorrow, but at least we'll try to play in The Quaich..
