Sunshine and Showers

Woken by torrential rain at 5am but by the time I arrived at the yard for my works train the rain had stopped.  An entertaining run up the line with just one coach, picking up and dropping the Tracksiders (families doing lineside work) at various points up the line.  Job done before mid-day by which time the sun had broken through.  A cold wind marred an otherwise lovely afternoon and just before the sunset a heavy shower also delivered a super rainbow.  After the shower .... and this sunset .... we played badminton until it was almost too dark to see. 

Having also had my Mum and Brother to dinner I seem to have packed a lot into the day.  Having a good holiday :-)
