Going Cheep

Today was an unusual day for us - with both Chris and I (Annie) working from home together. Given we're more normally working a good hundred miles apart, it was lovely and a bit odd.

Over lunch we stopped to watch the starlings feast on our fresh offering of mealworms. We noticed that we were very fortunate to have caught one of the few days the starling chicks first venture from the nest. We laughed to see their confused faces, as they stood right next to the pile of mealworms, and yet still waited open-beaked for their parent to feed them.
