Surreal knitting

I took Mum to South Shields today to see the an exhibition of knitting called Home is where the heart is, in the museum in the centre of town. A group called Materialistics have put together an amazing display, using knitting, crochet, felting, embroidery and using all sorts of different fabrics and yarns. It is well worth seeing, although tomorrow is the last day.

We had a good day out. We lunched at the museum, then did a quick shop in Morrisons. The journey home was slow because of very heavy traffic and the satnav took be through the Tyne Tunnel. I should have followed my own instincts!

The promised heavy rain danced around us and we missed most of it.
