Wood you believe it?

The weather actually improved today ....... although it is still windy & fairly chilly at least it is dry!!

So we set off for a walk in the countryside! As we were walking we heard a beautiful song ..... looking around we finally traced it to this tree ...... singing it's heart out was this Woodlark!!! A first for us .... we have never seen one before!!! We stood watching it for quite a while ..... every so often it would rise into the sky ..... then return to the tree ...... singing the whole time ...... what a fantastic sight!!!

Not a brilliant photo of it .... but it was right near the top of the tree! Do hope you like my little Woodlark! :-)

We also saw a Stonechat, Green & Great Spotted Woodpeckers, Robin, Goldfinch & young Crows being fed ..... a lovely day! :-)

I think I have caught up with everybody's journals now ..... thanks for your patience! All I need to do now is catch up with my journal!! :-)
