just the slightest change in approach, a subtle alteration to the familiar can make something everyday seem quite extraordinary.
That was what I was trying to explain to Em, in language a 4 year old can grasp, when she asked me why I was taking pictures of 'this old road'. Her powers of observation are pretty good and we often look at things and talk about patterns, colour and textures we see. After I'd given my explanation she piped up with "look mummy the lines in the field are the same pattern as the road". Not falling on deaf ears then.
