Birthday Blankie!

Today is my husband, Glenns, birthday! What a wonderful day! I was so very excited about his birthday coming as I had this quilt blanket made for him. One of our employees showed me a photo of his quilt that his wife had made for him. This was back in December. After thinking about it I asked him if she would be willing to be 'hired' to make one for Glenn. As you can see, she did it! She has been working on it since January and just finished it about a month ago. I was so excited to give it to him I almost did so many times! I waited until today and when I went in and woke him up I laid it on him. I don't think it fully hit him what it was until he really woke up :) he's not johnny jump up in the morning. The colorful cars in the photo are all embroidered individual squares the back is a black fleece with vintage cars. I just love how it turned out! And he does too!!!

So, off to work we went. I had to run to the dentist. ugh. Just for a cleaning but he also needed to fix a loose cap which happens to be on my front tooth. I was given the vision in an email of it flying off and hitting someone in the face!! :) Had quite the chuckle over that. Not sure if I would have laughed or been mortified if it would have happened! So, it's temporarily fixed. Looks like more work ahead for me :( Oh well. Didn't ruin my day. I love clean teeth!

Went back to the store where Glenn was barbequing pork ribs. He boiled them last night then put them on the BBQ with sauce. Everyone says they were great! One birthday wish he made when we pulled up this morning was that we would have a good day at the store, and we did!! One of our best days! Really made his birthday extra special. We went after work to a restaurant with a nice water view but we weren't that hungry so we got a couple appetizers and a cocktail and just enjoyed each others company and the view!! Came home and now relaxing getting ready for another big day tomorrow!!
