Flash

I spent some time today getting to find out how my new toy works. It's a flash hotshoe that has a tripod screw on the bottom and is triggered whenver another flash goes of within about 10m. In this image the flash is stood behind the lamp (which is not turned on) and despite being out of line of sight it was still triggered when the flash on the digital camera went off. I turned the on-camera flash to its lowest output setting so that the off-camera flash is most prominent.

I hope to be able to take better portrait/people pictures using the off-camera flash, especially on medium format in black & white.

Also got a job interview on Friday so tomorrow will be all preparation, eek!
