An inside day today!

As you can see we have had quite a good dollop of snow this morning.
We missed last winter's snowfalls as we were overseas, so this is the first time we have experienced snow in this part of Christchurch.

We are used to it though as while we were farming it was quite a common occurrence and a real nuisance for many reasons.

We're glad we're not having to go out in it today! We are warm and toasty inside.
However I am seriously thinking I will need to go and get a rake and shake the snow off around the garden. The snow is very wet and a lot of the shrubs are looking very weighted down with snow - a recipe for broken branches and misshapen bushes.
