Wildlife in the cemetery

Tuesday
The morning was sunny and warm when I was walking around Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum, and I wasn't the only one out enjoying the sunshine - this deer was one of two keeping a cautious eye on me while they carried on grazing. I did the full outer loop today, plus a few detours, so that was at least 4.4 miles, so that was my exercise for the day. By the time I got home, the clouds had rolled in and it was looking quite threatening for a while, but the rain held off, and I was able to get the last of my annuals planted in the garden, before coming in and doing some laundry and ironing.

Edit: I was just sitting in our family room, with the radio on, checking through a few journals, and I heard this terrific commotion. I was just wondering if it was on the radio or outside, when Laura came down saying "Did you hear that?" She thought it sounded as if there was a wreck ouside, so we went out to investigate. All the other neighbors were coming out of their houses too. Apparently an SUV, driving at great speed (and we live on a cul de sac) had come off the road just at the bottom of our driveway, and driven across the next two yards, totally smashing their mail boxes, sending the (full) garbage bins flying, then had apparently turned round and hit another couple of bins on the way out. Someone was already on his cell phone with the police, and apparently the SUV had already hit a vehicle at the end of the road, then we guess he fled down our street, not realizing it was a cul de sac! Laura's car is parked on the driveway, but fortunately she'd parked it high enough up that it didnt get hit, and he just missed our mailbox, and our garbage bin wasn't out yet, so we were lucky!
