Dream fulfilled

A perfect day with Kendall and Sue: it all fell into place like oiled clockwork. The sun shone. We went to the market and bought fish, vegetables and cheese, We went to Transition cafe, familiar to them from my many blips, and met some of my fellow volunteers. We caught a little bus that took us up the coast and dropped us at the bay from which we could start a circuit of the Pen Dinas promontory that juts out from the land. The sun shone. There were bluebells and gorse and sheep and wind-carved thorn trees and seabirds nesting in rockstacked colonies. We came down to the little village where the sea had washed away the church 150 years ago leaving just a remnant in the graveyard. We returned to our starting point and ate ice creams. The sun shone. My friend Lynne met us there and drove us a few miles further to visit Pentre Ifan prehistoric burial chamber - heart's desire for Kendall although Sue was more taken with the sheep and lambs in the surrounding fields. The sun shone.  We drove back through the mysterious, magical Gwaun valley and took in a holy well before Lynne dropped us off at my house for tea after which we walked down to the harbour through the wild garlic woods and back to Rosebud Cottage where we cooked the fish and rice and vegetables and so ended a memorable day.

The additional images are self-explanatory.
