A kiss for my beautiful daughter Lucy. These last two weeks she has gone through every emotion possible.

Two weeks ago she was ordering her wedding rings but within 3 days of that Alex, who suffers with bipolar, had decided to move back to his parents and feels he can't make Lucy suffer anymore and doesn't want to get married. Of course, she is devastated and heartbroken and was hoping that after a few days his condition would improve and he would return home. However, this isn't going to happen and we are now in the process of informing family and friends that the wedding has been cancelled.

Wednesday of last week, I drove to Cheltenham to support Lucy. We returned home on Saturday so that we could take her down to Broadstairs on the Sunday to chat with Alex. Monday we took her back to Cheltenham and then on Tuesday Mr C and I went on a planned trip to France to collect the wine for the wedding that had been preordered only a couple of weeks ago.

As a mum it breaks my heart to see her so broken and I feel emotionally and physically exhausted so I can only imagine how she is feeling. But I know with the love and support from all of us we will get through this.

Lucy is coming home this weekend to be with us on what should have been her hen weekend.
