Nap time on a hot, humid Texas afternoon

Didn't do our  normal morning walk.  Debbie had to go get some medical tests done.so we quickly finished our business.  Then, off to a medical office building.

Looks like we could get more rain tonight.  I  wish it would dry out a little for my garden's  sake.  Of course, that is nothing compared to others whose houses and loved ones have floated away.

During our afternoon walk, we saw many folks lined up on the benches on Lancaster Avenue.  The homeless shelters are just a few blocks down Lancaster.  They don't accept people until 5 p.m. or so.  The benches are at least shady and safe.
