A cold windy day, the bluetits have taken to sitting on the washing line looking expectantly at anyone passing through the kitchen. By the end of the day they were coming in through the back door to help themselves to the mealworms in the tub. These were the birds that  helped themselves to the nation's milk bottle cream.after all.
