Beardtongue...

...is a common nickname for Penstemon, referring to the "hairy" stamen that sticks out of the flower like a rude tongue.
I think that is much more noticeable in an Iris!
What I notice here is the lovely transition from pink to blue in the petals - almost like a water color painting.
