Jubilee Photograph
This will have to do as my token Jubilee photograph. It was taken on the beach at Brancaster, Norfolk UK. There is actually a flagpole about 30m to the left of where I was standing to take the shot, with a Jubilee flag on it, at the Clubhouse of the Royal West Norfolk Golf Club.
The rest of the beach was almost empty, we walked as far as we could to the East without getting our feet wet and returned. It was almost dark by the time we got back to the clubhouse, two hours later, and for most of the return walk we could not see anyone on the beach - just the way we like it.
We have been coming to this place for over 42 years and it has hardly changed at all. The kiosk has been replaced by one slightly bigger and the access road still floods at high tide - but when you drive a Land Rover that is not a problem. A proper Land Rover I mean, a Series 2, not these Discoveries or Range Rovers that rarely if ever go off tar. Opps! I'll get off my hobby horse now.
