Buchanan Street
It always comes as a shock to meet up with a fellow class mate for the first time in 57 years when you remember them as a gym slipped teenager and find them as a lady of more than a certain age with a full and interesting life behind her.
So it was when another school friend and I went through to Glasgow to meet up with a high flier from our class who is now boasts the heady title of Emeritus Professor of English from Glasgow University and is a well respected figure world wide in her field.
There was much reminiscing and catching up over several cups of coffee and the promise to meet up again sooner rather than later given our collective ages.
To my mind this view down Buchanan Street and over the Clyde to Cathkin Braes in the distance taken from the Concert Hall steps is one of the best views in Glasgow.
It was taken with my phone but despite that has come out reasonably well.
