Cowslip (Primula veris)

The first chance after the holiday and going up to Edinburgh to catch up on various jobs and start to get ready for the first show of the season at the weekend.  Obviously this meant a day round home.

As a result the blip for today is something that is in flower in the garden.  There were a number of choices but I settled on the Cowslip because in my youth we rarely saw them.  Primrose yes Cowslip no.   Now they seem to cover many motorway verges (not sure if they are natural or planted) we even have them in the garden as "weeds" although these ones were planted.
