Photo of a photo finally framed

I was very excited when I came home today as a photo I had ordered had finally come. I am a newly wed and this is the first printed photo I have gotten done.

To share my excitement I had immediately thought to blip my lovely photo in its lovely photo frame (which was a wedding present) for all to see. Unfortunately as it is a new frame the glass is way too reflective and all my efforts were in vein. As I had left it too late to look for anything else to blip I was very disappointed.

Stubbornly I pushed on and proceeded to experiment with some of the settings on my camera (phone). This photo was taken with a "vintage" setting and while the frame did not quite make it into the picture, I am just so glad that I was able to salvage a photo I was happy to blip.

Maybe in a few weeks the shine will be a little less and I can try again.

Does anyone have any hints for taking photos through reflective surfaces?

Edit: I'm fairly sure the original photo was taken by a blipper also! I am very lucky to have lots of talented people in my family :)
